This higher guarantee decreases the risk\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0the bank\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">when lending\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">and could make SBA loans easier to obtain.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Economic Injury Disaster <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">(EIDL)\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Loans\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">3.\u00a0 \u00a0The deadline to apply for <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loans<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0(EIDL) has been extended.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0loan<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0provide economic relief to small businesses and nonprofit organizations that are currently experiencing a temporary loss of revenue.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Rates are\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">3.75% for businesses (fixed)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">2.75% for nonprofits (fixed)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0for\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">30 years<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0with n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">o pre-payment penalty or fees<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">The loans can be used for w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">orking capital\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0normal operating expenses<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">EIDL Loan Applications are now being accepted through December 31, 2021.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Payroll Protection Program (PPP) Loans<\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">4.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>For the next round of Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans, only employers with 300 employees\u00a0or less\u00a0will be eligible. Round one awarded\u00a0loans\u00a0to businesses with up to\u00a0500\u00a0employees and was criticized for not being tailored to small businesses.
