Due to the extreme pressures being placed on Pennsylvania’s businesses, Governor Wolf announced late on Friday, March 20, that he has delayed enforcement of his order mandating shutdown of non-life-sustaining businesses until 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 23. An updated Industry Operations Guidance list<\/a> is available.<\/p>\n Businesses requesting to keep physical locations open can submit a waiver to the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for review. The waiver application<\/a> is available online.<\/p>\n While no substantive guidance on the granting of waivers has been given, considerations for waivers include whether a business can fit the definition of “life-sustaining” and also has a mitigation plan in place that meets CDC guidelines for employee safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
