<\/h2>\nFrank Botta joins a distinguished panel of professionals for the W. Edward Sell \u201945 Legal Lecture presented by the Washington & Jefferson College Pre-Law Professions Alumni Advisory Committee on Saturday October 5, 2019. The annual lecture series, held each year on Homecoming weekend, highlights relevant and timely legal issues that affect both the profession and its role in society. The focus of this year\u2019s program is the legalization of marijuana in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
Frank is frequent speaker on the topic of marijuana in Pennsylvania and The Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act (MMA). In his practice he assists employers in a variety of industries in navigating the risks and sensitive issues MMA presents in the workplace, including educating and training managers; reviewing and modifying employee handbooks and polices; documenting and maintaining employee records and developing protocols for hiring and on-boarding employees.<\/p>\n
A 1981 alumnus of Washington & Jefferson College, Frank has been a member of the Pre-Law Professions Alumni Advisory Committee since 1997 and currently serves as its Director. The committee was formed in 1988 to support and encourage the interest and advancement of W&J students in the law. Membership includes practitioners and jurists from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are committed to broadening the educational and professional opportunities for W&J students and alumni.<\/p>\n
